WOMEN'S MINISTRIES PRAYER BREAKFAST SESSION ATTRACTS MEMBERS OF OTHER FAITHS
The Women’s Ministries department at Siavonga Main Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Siavonga Mission District, under the Rusangu Conference, held its first Women’s Prayer Breakfast on Sunday, 15, 2026. The event brought together church members and guests from other denominations.
Held under the theme “Women, Faith and Prayer,” the meeting aimed to encourage women to strengthen their spiritual lives through prayer and fellowship. Speaking during the event, Women’s Ministries leader Sr. Kashweka Simushi Chansa read from James 5:16, which encourages believers to pray for one another. She urged women to remain prayerful and faithful in their daily lives.
Sr Chansa encouraged the women present to become beacons of light in their homes and communities, adding that praying for their children and families is of paramount importance in one’s Christian journey.
“Women play an important role in shaping the spiritual lives of their families. Through prayer, they can bring hope, guidance, and strength to their homes,” she said.
The prayer breakfast also attracted several non-Adventist community members who attended the event. Many of the guests expressed gratitude for the invitation and appreciated the opportunity to join the prayer session.
Participants described the gathering as uplifting and meaningful, as it provided a platform for spiritual reflection, prayer, and interaction among women from different backgrounds.
The Women’s Ministries department hopes to organise more activities in the future that will continue to encourage prayer, fellowship, and outreach among women in Siavonga and surrounding areas.
